Sonny's New Romance:  "I Haven't Been This Excited In A Long Time!" Maurice Benard shares with SID readers his take on how the sexy FBI Agent (to be played by Film Vixen Kari Wuhrer) will be an arresting new development in Sonny's love life. The In Depth Story: Although much ado has been made of the casting of Benard's new leading lady, the truth is that when Wuhrer makes her daytime debut as General Hospital's Reece on Thursday, February 3, the lady Fed won't immediately hit it off with Port Charles' most-wanted mobster.   Quite the contrary, and that is fine by Maurice Benard.   In the wake of the dissolution of Sonny and Carly's marriage, "The reality of this next journey is that he should be alone for a while," the actor offers.  "He may not even want to be with anybody.  But eventually, something will just happen." That's where Wuhrer's comely crimebuster comes in.  Yes, some may liken Reece's occupation to that of Sonny's onetime bedmate, FBI mole Hannah Scott, or her intensity to Carly's, but that may be where such similarities end.  "That's what people do in life -- they turn to the same thing." Benard notes.   "But the pattern needs to be broken, and it will be broken." "Reece will be different than anyone Sonny has been with," the Emmy winner adds.  "And I'm very excited about it.  I haven't been this excited about something in a long time."
